Only MSB enables you to identify properties in windpool zones in a way that fits seamlessly into your existing underwriting and re-underwriting workflows.
Windpool Zones
Eight states - Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas - have designated windpool zones: coastal areas at high risk for wind damage. Those states have created shared-risk insurance pools available for property owners. Additionally, these states offer credits and incentives for private insurers that voluntarily write coverage on properties in these zones. MSB’s Windpool service consistently and quickly identifies addresses within the windpool boundaries.
Automated Efficiency
MSB’s Windpool Database enables you to replace tedious manual processes, map reviews and subjective interpretations with automated efficiency. MSB easily identifies each property’s inclusion in windpool zones by converting each address (via Geographical Information System technology) into exact latitude and longitude coordinates.
Additionally, MSB supports seamless integration of the Windpool Database into your existing workflows. MSB supports integration through the industry-leading Residential Component Technology® (RCT) property valuation system, hosted on the MSB Express™Web platform, or via XML-based Web services that interface with your existing administrative systems.Integrating Windpool Data with Decisioning Technology
