MSB Canada Recognized as 25-Year Member of BILD

December 4, 2009

Marshall & Swift / Boeckh Canada (MSB), a MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) Company and the leading worldwide provider of building cost data to the property insurance industry, announces today it has been recognized as a 25-year member of the Building Industry and Land Association (BILD) of Canada.

Through the BILD membership, MSB is in contact with large building contractors across Canada that help MSB better understand the issues confronting the construction industry.  In addition, BILD has assisted MSB in its efforts to gather reliable data. The property and casualty industry benefits from this added level of sophistication so properties are insured to their full replacement cost value.

As a Canadian company, MSB has built its business by focusing on local markets including Toronto.  BILD was formed through the merger of the Greater Toronto Home Builders Association and Urban Development Institute/Ontario.  BILD helps bring together members from all types of companies, in a non-competitive environment, to address issues and challenges facing the construction industry.

“MSB’s continued BILD membership gives us immediate access to numerous, valuable insights in the residential construction industry in Canada,” said Peter M. Wells, President, MSB.  “In addition, it affords us the opportunity to obtain detailed information necessary to supplement our research.”
